Rajasthan has very large geographical area which has four seasons through out the year i.e summer, monsoon, post-monsoon and winter. In every season Temperature always vary, but best part is that you can travel anytime of year.
Summer start from April to June which gives of temperature around 45°C in day time. But in this duration you can visit places like Mount Abu, Kumbhalgarh & Rankpur which are among the hill station area of Rajasthan. You can get pleasant and breathtaking view for these locations. And if you want to explore the city area then early morning & later evening is advisable for indoor activities.
Rajasthan’s monsoon season is far better than summer which help to decrease the temperature and spread beautiful, stunning greenery every where on landscape & hills. If you don’t like to travel in crowd & peak season, then July to September is the good time to explore the Rajasthan. The best places to visit in Monsoon is Udaipur – city of lakes, Bundi & Bharatpur.
Once the monsoon has passed the temperatures going down continuously and effects of winter started from October to till March and most of the festival starts like Dashara, Diwali Celebration. This is the best time to visit Rajasthan as the desert sun is not as intense and the days are pleasant. Most of the festivals held in winter are planned as tourist attractions, with visitors coming in from different parts of the world.
